Announcing New Partnership with NAFTD

CHICAGO – INTERSCHUTZ USA, a new type of fire service event, announced today that it has partnered with the North American Fire Training Directors (NAFTD). The NAFTD is an international organization that promotes the common interests of providing a quality fire training and educational experience for firefighters. The membership is comprised of the Directors of the recognized authority of fire service training in each of the fifty states and each Canadian province and territory. NAFTD members serve as the primary point of contact for fire training and education conducted throughout the United States and Canada.

John Cunningham, Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Firefighters School and President of NAFTD, stated: “The North American Fire Training Directors are pleased to partner with INTERSCHUTZ USA for the 2020 conference, providing an opportunity for our members to learn from global firefighting experts and see the latest innovations in equipment that can enhance the effectiveness of state and provincial fire training academies and educational institutions across North America.”

INTERSCHUTZ USA is a new type of event, bringing the world’s fire service together. Addressing current international travel challenges, the show team is developing plans to allow international speakers and participants to participate in this unique event virtually. The show will take place Oct. 14-17, 2020 in Philadelphia. Classroom-style workshops and live training for firefighters will be held throughout the area on Oct. 14. The Pennsylvania Convention Center will hold all exhibit and classroom events Oct. 15-17.

The North American Fire Training Directors (NAFTD) is an international organization that promotes the common interests of providing a quality fire training and educational experience for firefighters. The membership is comprised of the Directors of the recognized authority of fire service training in each of the fifty states and each Canadian province and territory. NAFTD members serve as the primary point of contact for fire training and education conducted throughout the United States and Canada. State/provincial/territorial fire training systems are typically based in a university or a government entity such as the state/provincial/territorial fire marshal’s office or fire commission.
